Aimed at confident beginner sewers and those who are looking for a quick and satisfying project, Liz is a simple and versatile bralette pattern designed to provide a solid basis for a fully lined pull-on soft bra, sports bra or bikini top. It features deep squared neckline and fitted wide straps. View A has a characteristic overlap on both sides, view B includes classic side seam.

Liz is a multi-sized PDF pattern drafted for a dressmaking B Cup, covering 14 sizes 28″-54” (71cm-137cm) High Bust. Due to stretch provided by the fabric it can accommodate cups A-D. Should your cup size fall outside of that range, instructions include FBA how-to.

Recommended Fabric:

For all sizes you will need up to 0.6m* of both fashion fabric and lining: four way stretch knit fabrics with minimum 40% stretch, preferably with a spandex content of 5-15% such as stretch mesh, scuba, jersey or stretch lace. When choosing lining you have more flexibility with necklines finished with elastic. However, with burrito method, you will achieve better results if lining and fashion fabric have similar weight and stability.

Other Materials:

Depending on the neckline finish you choose, you will need one of the following:
– 3/8-inch picot elastic
– fold over elastic, clear or swimwear
elastic.

Download includes:

  • Instruction Booklet
  • Print at home file (Tiled)
  • Copyshop file (A0)

Both pattern files include layers for your convenience.

*Assumes no nap or directional prints.

  1. Lianne

Love the shape and comfort of this bralette. Instructions are clear and it comes with some great variety in both side seams and methods of finishing the seams. Loved making it and did not take it off for the entire day when I finished it 🙂

  2. Nathalie Laframboise

Loved making it really easy to sew and can be so versatile from a sexy lace version to a swimsuit version! So comfy and instructions are clear so no questioning yourself when making it. Also an other good point you can make it with your knit scraps.

  3. Jo

Really simple to make and this was my first bralette. Don’t be put off newbies! As a committed under-wire bra person I might be converted! Immune was an upcycle job from an old stretch dress.

  4. Mandy

The Liz bralette is everything you need to make your first undergarment! This is going to elevate your sewing practice and result in a very comfortable, beautiful and wearable wardrobe staple. It’s also scrap-friendly. So, save the fabric leftovers from legging-making and you’re on your way to some super-cute matched sets!

  5. Ashley Riley

I’m over the moon with the fit of my Liz bralette, the instructions were very clear to understand. It’s a great way to use up your scrap fabrics. I will be making many more of theses for sure!
